Expectations

NTTP Trainees are expected to do the following :

1^st School Placement

• Act in a Professional manner and abide by the school's code of conduct, dress code etc
• To teach 40% of a mainscale teacher’s timetable (this should include a Pastoral period)
• Trainees should be assigned to a Tutor Group
• Trainees to perform regular duties like other members of staff
• Trainees should be introduced to the school by the Professional Tutor
• Trainees should shadow a pupil for a day
• Your entitlement is that you be formerly observed for each class you teach, a minimum of once per week, you are also entitled to a minimum of a one hour meeting per week with your School Based Tutor
• Trainees are responsible for sending observation form to NTTP

2^nd School Placement

• In addition to the above, trainees are expected to teach 60% of the timetable.
